Event Terms and Conditions

By registering for any OCSTC event, you implicitly agree to the following terms and conditions:

I. "NO-SHOW" POLICY
If you register for any event in which the chapter must order a meal or incur any other financial obligation on your behalf to hold that reservation, and if you fail to attend that event, you will be responsible for reimbursing the chapter for the cost incurred on your behalf. Your obligation is due immediately. You will be required to reimburse the chapter prior to registering for any other event.

Appeals may be made to the chapter treasurer in the event of verifiable extenuating circumstances. If the appeal cannot be resolved with the chapter treasurer in a satisfactory manner, the appeal may be escalated to the chapter's administrative council.

II. CANCELLATION POLICY
You may cancel your registration for any event through the website or by emailing the treasurer no later two days prior to the event, unless otherwise stated on the event information page at the time the registration was recorded.

III. RETURNED CHECK POLICY
You are responsible for checks returned by your financial institution for nonsufficient funds (NSF) or other reasons. You must immediately reimburse the chapter for the original amount of the check plus the amount of any penalties charged against the chapter's account associated with the returned item.

IV. PHOTO POLICY
You acknowledge that you understand photographs may be taken during the natural course of the event. These photographs may be used in articles reviewing the event, event promotions, chapter or STC newsletter, magazine, or blog articles, member benefit materials, or website graphics. While your likeness may appear in these chapter- and society-related promotional and informational materials, your image will not be sold to any third party. By registering for the event, you give your permission and release use of your likeness to OCSTC and STC in information and promotional materials.

V. EMAIL POLICY

The email address that you provide when you register for an event may be added to our mailing lists in order that you may receive announcements about OCSTC  news and events by email. You may unsubscribe from the email distribution at any time by clicking the Unsubscribe link that appears at the bottom of every email announcement. Your email address will not be sold to any third party.
