It’s time to have some fun in the sun! We’re doing something a little different for our July social event—we’re going on a scavenger hunt! We’ll put you into a group with other tech writers and their friends, and the groups will compete to find items located around downtown Laguna Beach. Can you think of a better way to spend a few hours on a Saturday? We didn’t think so.

Space is limited, so register early. As a special bonus, if you register a guest, you’ll save five dollars on the pair of tickets. Please pay by PayPal before the event. Since we’re out in city, the treasurer will not be able to make change on site.

The cost is $15 per person/$25 per two people. Bring your friends, significant others, neighbors and coworkers!

What to Expect

Over the course of the scavenger hunt, you’ll walk about two miles around downtown Laguna Beach. The terrain is flat, but there is a flight of stairs.

Where to Meet

We'll meet and organize in front of the Lumberyard. The address is 384 Forest Avenue, Laguna Beach. Please arrive on time.

Where to Park

Laguna Beach is a busy place during the summer. Avoid the traffic snarls by carpooling and parking along Laguna Canyon and Coast Highway. A free shuttle service runs at regular intervals to whisk you from the outlying parking spaces to the downtown area.

What You’ll Need

  • Sunscreen and/or a big hat
  • Money for lunch or snacks
  • Sturdy walking shoes
  • A sunny disposition
